3 things that will attract investors to your startup

Do you know what are the strengths that attract investors? There’s much more than a good looking presentation or an innovative idea for investors to take a leap and give money to a startup.
1. Traction in their business
Good buzz, strong mailing list, mentions by the press, social media, or other publications, the sign on of early customers… these are all ways for the investor to see progress. So, if your business has momentum, it has traction.
2. Total knowledge of their business model and your competitors
Investors are attracted by expertise on your business and your product, plus knowing the market and its competition. The trust they put in a startup is no joke. For them to take the decision you have to ask yourself every question possible about your industry and answer them.
3. Leadership and a great team
The initial management team is really important for investors. It could be the decisive factor in their support. Like Mark Suster says in his blog about investment: “If I feel a priori that the CEO can’t cut it I’m highly unlikely to invest.” So, make the management a priority!
