8 SXSWi talks and workshops you have to attend

By Sebastián Vidal, Executive Director @Parallel18
SXSWi is a complete startup madness: open bars, open lunch, open everything. Hundreds of mind blowing keynote speakers, tons of workshops that can really help your professional life and, finally, meet-ups. Lots and lots of meet-ups.
With all of this craziness is very easy to get distracted and not accomplish your goals at the conference, because remember… you are working!! That’s why it is so important to get your head straight and define a set of milestones you want to achieve.
In my case, I’m passionate about new trending technologies and be able to watch global and diverse entrepreneurs in action. There’s so many interesting entrepreneurs all over the globe that are participating in SXSW, that this is the perfect platform to meet them.
For the nature of what I do this is what drives me and motivates me to attend, find awesome startup talent and invite them to apply to Parallel18
A few talks and workshops that I’m not going to miss regarding the set of milestones that I define are the ones that follow:
1 . Accelerating Change and the Future of Technology: mind blowing
2. MIT #HackMed: Patient Co-Creation Workshop: mind blowing
3. Getting ROI on the IOT: How to Make Business: mind blowing
4. Dropping a Billion Dollar Economic Bomb on Startups: always important to see what is one of the most important accelerators in the US are doing, besides is a pretty trending topic.
5. Mobility Meets VC: Transportation Reinvented: always important to understand opportunities to be able to create valuable solution, what better to get in to deep in the transportation industry
